Twisted Thoughts : The angry boy...

James was a twelve year old boy and he was the only child in the family. His parents adore him very much. However, James was a spoilt kid and he would throw tantrum if he does not get what he wanted. He would screamed and yelled at everyone. He was such a spoilt kid that no other children would want to play with him. One day, a teacher brought with her a new boy. The teacher told everyone, "Hi class, I want you all to meet Dave. He will be your new friend."

The teacher assigned Dave to a table next to James. Dave was as tall as James. He had more freckles than James. His hair was darker than James. However, Dave wore an eye glasses. In contrast to James nasty spoilt behavoir, Dave made friends with everyone in the class and even with kids from other classes. Soon Dave was so popular in the school that he was made the head of school prefect. Dave would tell James to be more friendly and perhaps other kids would talk to him soon. Burning inside James, he had been angried with Dave and had at times felt like punching him in the face. However, he had always stay quiet and made no response to Dave. One day before the school closed for Christmas, Dave had invited James to his house for a Christmas party. No other children had dare to invite James for he would always spoilt their party. So they had stopped inviting James.

When Dave told other kids that he had invited James over to his party, they frowned at his suggestion. "No! Not James! Why?", one kid got scared and told him that it is not good to invite James over to the party. "Oh, he is a nice boy", Dave would tell them and made sure to them that James will behave and be friendly to everyone. Come that Christmas day, James had went to Dave's place. It was a big place with maids and butlers running around everywhere busily for the party. Dave's parents was involved in politics for the country. "Oh you are here, come in James!", Dave welcome James into his mansion. "Hey everyone, here is James!", everyone quieten down and some stopped at whatever their were doing. Upon seeing this, James's heart felt crushed and sad that all his friends had seriously not approved of his appearance in Dave's party. James took one step backward and left without saying a word. "Hey James don't go, will you?", Dave ran after James. "I am not like you, Dave!", James said angrily. "Go back to your party, I don't like you too!", James slammed the door and ran as fast as he could back to his house. While he was running, he suddenly felt his whole world twisted, he became dizzy and fell unconscious onto the ground.

When he woke up, there were tubes and machines every where in the room. The roow was very white. Dave was sitting beside him. "James, you fell unconscious, you know", Dave told him. "What happen?", James's head was still spinning a bit due to the medication that was flowing in from the needle attach to his hands. "I have no idea but your parents and my parents is outside speaking to the doctor", Dave explained to James. He laid there and suddenly he could heard someone wailing loudly out of the room. Some one was crying and shouting as if something bad had happened. "James, is this the first time you fell unconscious?", Dave asked his friend. "Yes", James trying to swallow his saliva.

Then Dave's parent walked in and patted James's hand, "You will be alright, don't worry". Dave's father then took Dave out of the room. From his bed he heard some soft conversation like "I am sorry Mr Hartnett", "Take good care, he is a strong boy" and some sobbing. Finally, the conversation had died down. Dave and his parents had left. The room was now as silent as before Dave had left. The only sound that filled the room was the machines and drips that attached to his hand and body. He could hear his father's voice, "Come on darling, let's go inside to see James". His mother was sobbing and  murmuring, "He is too young and", before she could continue Mr Hartnett had stopped his wife. "Don't worry, darling", James father had assured her. The door open and Mr Hartnett came in first followed by his mother. "How are you son?", asked Mr Hartnett. James nodded his head. His mother looked devastated and barely able to look straight into his son's eyes. She was still sobbing. "What happened, Ma?", James asked her. "It's okay, honey", she wiped her eyes with her pink handerchief. Mrs Hartnett just kept quiet and smiled to her son.

The doctor then came in to check on James and as well as to tell him what was happening to him. "How are you, James?", asked the doctor. "I am fine", nodded James. "You will need to stay in the hospital for a while, James because you have a weak heart, " the doctor stop so that James able to understand what he told him. James looked to his parents. His mother was in his father clutches and sobbing too. "Now, you should not exert yourself too much. You were running yesterday and you fainted, do you remember?", he asked James. James nodded again. "I will help but you must follow my advice to take your medicine so you will be strong and healthy, can you do that?", asked the doctor again. James nodded again. "Good boy", the doctor patted his young patient's head. Before leaving, the doctor turned to the parents and said a few words that he will see them again tomorrow.

The next day, Dave came by to see his friend. "Hi James, how are you?", he put out his favorite toy and a chocolate bar on his bed. "My doctor says I have a weak heart", Dave shook his head as though he had no inkling what his friend on the bed was saying. "Can you go to school again?" Dave asked him. "I am not sure," James partially shook his head. "You know, I am quite lonely without you at your desk", Dave told him. James can only smile. "Dave, I am sorry if I'd ruined your party the other day", James said slowly. Dave held his hands and made sure that his friend was forgiven. They had spent nearly two hours just talking about school subjects and friend who had enquired about him. The other evening, his parents would visit him. As days goes by, James situation had became worsen and Dave had continually came to visit him. At each visit, Dave will bring a friend to visit him. Soon, everyone had visited James.

One day, James had become too exhaustive and too tired to open his eyes. He was struggling. His parent were tormented than ever before. His mother looked so lost and his father was deep in thoughts by the window. The doctor had tried his best to help James and make him feel more comfortable. As usual, Dave came by to visit James. "Dave, you had been a very good friend", and Dave had told him it was alright and he should get better so they could go to the playground. "I will", and that was the last time Dave heard from his friends again.

Twisted Thoughts : Ah Kiang and Ah Tang

Ah Kian was a very young man when he was still practicing law in a firm situated in the central business district in Kuala Lumpur. He had had his time enjoying his life to the maximum. The daily night out for drinks and the accompany of different ladies. His companion for the night had included some of his own female colleagues. One night stand was his common adventure in many bars and clubs around Kuala Lumpur. Not only that, he was the envious of his colleagues in the corporate ladder. His boss would say, "Make it one more good closing, I'll make you a partner of this firm" every time he won a case. He was more than delight to hear this praise and encouragement. He had worked hard and played hard. Life was ahead of him!

One night, he was lying down on his sofa in a very expensive condominium and he got a call from his old friend. "Ah Kiang, how are you?", asked the caller. He shrugged and replied, "As usual Ah Tang, how about you? Got any kang tao?", he laughed and trying to maintain his composure. The other side of the caller laughed too albeit a bit eerily, "Pretty much the same". The caller stopped laughing as though the line had went dead that moment. The conversation had become serious. "You got to come down to Johor to visit me, I'd got this cun babe and I told her about you!", Ah Tang said. "Oh really", he sounded disbelief at his friend who actually got him a girl. "Do tell me about it, you sick bastard", he asked quizzically at his old friend. "Ok, she's a nice girl, good body, sweet voice and very sexy too, dude!", Ah Tang was getting excited telling his friend. Ah Tang continued, "Come down next weekend lar, I introduce you to her. You won't be dissappointed!", Both of them chatted for a few minutes before Ah Kiang bid goodbye to him. "I will call you again next Friday", the line went dead with click.

After each call from Ah Tang, Ah Kiang will start shivering and prayed hard, he would hold the cross or just read from the bible. "I am so sorry Ah Tang, I didn't know it would happen", he would cry and cried until he passed out. Tomorrow morning, he would work hard as usual and partied hard through the night. Ah Tang would call him again the next Friday. This went on to become a routine since Ah Tang had passed away at one night during one of his many visit to Johor. As you see, Ah Tang was his good friend who would share his girlfriends with his old buddy Ah Kiang. They would take turns to drug the girls and taking turns to have fun themselves. One night their escapade turned awry and the girl they were having fun died because of drug overdose which they had forcefully fed her and held her captive for the weekend. Ah Tang and Ah Kiang fought over each other for the death of the girl.  Their intentions had been for fun only. Unfortunately, in a heated argument, Ah Kiang furiously tood a pen knife and stabbed Ah Tang to death.

Ah Kiang made Ah Tang and the girl's death like an accident and had a rough time explaining to the police and his family as to how and why the incident happened. It was a horrible month that had happened to Ah Kiang. For fear of police of arresting him for the murder, he had to lie to many friends, colleagues and family that Ah Tang and the girl committed suicide because of bad debts with Ah Longs. The drugs that the police found in the deceased's body, Ah Kiang lied that they used it to relief their stress. So Ah Kiang had successfully gotten off the blame from the whole horrible incident.

Now, every Friday, the ghost of Ah Tang will continuously call Ah Kiang and asked him to join him like their usual escapade. Meanwhile the dead girl's spirit will always follow him whenever he visit any pub and club. The girl will possess those girls he brought home and she will force him to drug himself. Not only the ghost force Ah Kiang to do drugs but he had gotten hooked onto it. Such was the story of Ah Kiang who had live his life to the fullest and every moment he was haunted by his friend and the drugged girl. Ah Kiang's life is not as what his boss and his colleagues think highly off.

For over 30 years, Ah Kiang had endure the hauntings of his old friend and the dead girl. He had remember when he handed his resignation letter to his boss after his finish final case for the firm. "Ah Kiang, why do you have to resign lar?", his resignation shocked his boss. "Boss, I'd had my struggle and my happiest time working for you and I need to go somewhere, " Ah Kiang told his boss with a very exhaustive look. "Look Ah Kiang, you are the best lawyer in my firm and I am not happy about you leaving, what is the problem actually? Am I not treating rightly?", his boss asked him. "No boss, I need to find my inner peace", Ah Kiang said. "I can increase your salary, give you a bigger room and you can even hire another secretary, how about a sexytary?, his boss said humourously to him hopefully to change Ah Kiang's mind. His boss knew of his adventures but had closed one eye as long as Ah Kiang was helping him pouring money into the company's account. "Look Ah Kiang, I know everyone's had their own problem but is there anything I can do so you will not leave?", the boss told Ah Kiang. "No, I am leaving. In this three months I will handover my what ever yet to start to Ah Joe, he is a very capable person. I'd teach him enough to know what he needs to do, " Ah Kiang stood up and shook his boss hands and went out.

"Tomorrow I will be a monk, " he spoke silently to himself. He glanced around the office. He will miss his colleagues especially the girls. He will miss Kuala Lumpur. He will miss its beautiful night life.

Coca Cola and Meguiar's...

Had a good morning yesterday by starting my day with a good breakfast. I had two sausages and scrambled eggs. Served with some baked beans. Then I drowned those with a glass of nice warm water. Read the newspaper and then went down to have my car washed, vacuumed and waxed to sparkling clean. After that rest beside the car and looked at it. Just that I noticed I need something more powerful to make it more shiny.

Then I went up to have a bath, kissed my wife, and told her that I am going next to One Stop for a look around on some good wax and cleaning solution.

Mrs William : Since you are going to One Stop... do get me a bottle of Cola... ok, dear?
Mr William : Drink water lar... drink so much Cola no good...

Mrs William : ** Pout her lips and looked at me **...
Mr William : Ok ok...

At One Stop, I went to second floor and looked at the shop I bought my first car towel and subsequently a few more. There I looked around the shop for some waxing solution. I only found one Meguiar's product. Most of it are Production's Car solution. Production's Car is another competitor of Meguiar's product. Anyway, I wanted to try Meguiar's.

Then at third floor, I found this store that sells most of Meguiar's product. All of its range and the owner even thought me how I should take care of my car.

Mr William : But my car is new...
Owner : Ok, fine... new car or old car... as beginner you should know that oxidation take place even when new cars are already park outside the factory before even send to customers. So you must buy a claybar, detailer and before waxing your car.... but most important is that you need a Clay Bar...

Mr William : Okay...  how do I know if my car has oxidation?
Owner : Good... to detect that... you use your palm... swipe over your car... you will feel its smooth right?

Mr William : uh hmmm...
Owner : Now... if you wrap a plastic over your palm... like this... ** showing a plastic wrapper over his palm **... then swipe again... you will definitely notice the difference... surface is like pimples... and that is oxidation... so that's why you need a Clay Bar to remove it... remember... you don't protect it... just removed it... oxidation will happen... Clay Bar just remove it...

Mr William : Ooooooh...
Owner : Oxidation happens gradually and faster... and it gets worse if you always park under sun...

Mr William : yes yes... I park under the sun... every day...
Owner : Okay, nevermind... now you know... you just purchased this Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax and its Dry Towel first... then you go back try out first...

Mr William : Okay... I go back and try... then I come back to get the Clay Bar... ** returned home happily **... Hehehehe...

Returned home to admire the product and updated my Facebook,

Mrs William : Honey, honey... you are back?
Mr William : Yes... yes... I am in the living room... Hehehehe...

Mrs William : Did you get my Coca-Cola?
Mr William : oO.. ** Gulp **... oops... oh shiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttt...

My New Honda City's first 1000 KM service

The other week I had my left passenger's door fixed for its dent and chipped paint. It was a sad day for me but it was fixed the following day by a workshop next to Kah Motor Service Centre at Sungai Pinang. The repair was well done! Last 3 days, I'd just sent my City to its first service. Free!

9:00 AM - Prepared myself for the first service. Dressed up in a black T-shirt and a blue jeans and headed off to Kah Motor.

9: 25 AM - Reached Kah Motor Service Centre and had the slightest idea where to park my car. The location was small and had many cars parked along the road. The lane beside the service centre was very narrow. I had to double park (editor : don't wory, I don't do that at all) and went in to check out where their customers park their car to service. One skinny Malay old man with white moustache and a Chinese mechanic told me that I can park at this green slot. So I had to reverse and drove into the centre. Okay, that was done.

9:35 AM - Walked into the service reception area, greeted by a Chinese lady and I told her that my appointment was now. She had my car number ticked off and told me to proceed to another counter to have my particulars entered into their system. Sat behind the registration counter, a Malay guy attended to my  registration. He took my red Honda service booklet, looked throught and registered accordingly in the booklet and asked if there is problem with my new car. I told him that driver side's wing mirror's lining had one spot melted off. So he went out to check it. Oh, it was just some glue from the factory that had gone off. He told me nothing serious and not to worry about it. So he cleaned out the wing mirror for me. ;)

9:40 AM - After that, he told me to wait at customer lounge while the car will be inspected by a Honda mechanic. So I headed towards their Customer Lounge. There are coffee machine, a water dispenser and on one table stood a nice set of china to serve tea for customers around the corner. I wonder who will be using those sets of china to serve tea? Perhaps, potential customers gets to have a sip of tea while disccusing the price over a Civic or Accord. On second thought, old and fat potential customers like those Chinese towkays! Hehehe...

9:45 AM - A young girl dressed like going to club walked in with a large lookalike LV bag, wore a black sun glasses, a fairly beige sandals and held an Iphone. Furthermore, she had black colored finger nails and had flowery stickers on her toe nails. Take a guess, she drove a Honda Accord! She must be someone else's filthy rich man's daughter. She sat in front of me before her turn to register her car for servicing. She smells heavy of perfume too! Then came another man dressed very smartly, one hand held a phone, sun glasses on top and walked in talking to his bluetooth earphone. Must be a businessman. The young girl had finished her registration, now walked around before deciding to sit two seats to my left.

10:00 AM - She kept playing with her Iphone and once in a while heads up to look around or stared next to a huge mirror to make her hair. Then a few minutes went by, she crossed her legs and I can tell you, she attracted alot of attention, who came in to the service centre. Mechanics, service agents and sales agents turned their heads too. After a while, her Iphone rang, answered, looked out and waved to someone behind me. Thereafter, she left the service centre. My day just grew bored with the young girl gone. (Psst.. don't tell Mrs William!)

10:15 AM - Bored less I thought no more when one auntie (tai tai) walked in to have her car service. She had her hair permed and colored light brown. Gold rings all over her fingers and had a flashy handbag. Walked with click-clacking sound emitted from her medium heels shoe. She spoke with mix Hokkien and Malay to Honda service agents. The Malay guy kept nodding his head (oh yes, the whole island knows Hokkien except me!). Followed behind her, one tall Chinese guy dressed with a fairly shiny white low collared shirt and a black slacks. Not to mentioned his very glossy black leather shoe that I kept wondering what brand of shoe polisher he used to keep that shining continuously. Under his left arm, a huge leather black purse like those Ah Longs used to keep their big wad of cash, held tightly underneath it. Moreover, he had the similar action with the first Chinese man I saw earlier talking to his phone. Oh, he had a big gold ring too! So, all Honda car owners are very filthy rich and classy people?! In contrast to them, I think my image is very modest. Perhaps, too modest!

10:20 AM - A father and son walked in (which, several days later, I saw him again in Penang airport, that's another story) and had the service agent to repeatedly told the father to be seated before being served after he had finished with another Chinese uncle. The Chinese uncle despite driving a Civic he wore casually differently from others I had observed earlier. Around this time, an old uncle dressed in white and grey pants walked in and started to make his tie. I think this is supervisory sales person because he ordered his henchmen (sales agents) to get things prepared for the day. One fat sales agent went to prepare the set of china for tea. So this set of china is prepared by Honda sales agent!

10: 25 AM - I saw my car drove to the front of the service centre. Alright, they had finally finished checking my car. The auntie (tai tai) suddenly went up to the counter and asked if her car is ready. The Malay service agent told her to wait as it is not ready yet. She went back mumbling something in Hokkien. No idea what she said. I waited for another 10 minutes and there was still no sign of me getting my car keys. I asked the same Malay guy and was told my car key is still under inspection. My car key needs to be inspected?!

10:35 AM - Finally, another Malay guy came out, holding a few documents and a car key. Yes, that is my car key! I recognized it because it has an SAP key holder attached to it. Hehehe... I proceeded to the cashier to sign off. No free gifts for my first service? Hmmm... Yes Eric, I did not get any free gifts from Kah Motor Honda Service Centre.

10:40 AM - Checked around my car for scratches as Eric had told me that my car will have some fine scratches after first service. I found none and got in and drove towards Penang's Main Post Office to get my Public Bank Loan Agreement for this car. Had a tough time finding an available parking near the Jetty and surrounding the Post Office. I had to drove over two rounds before finding one near the Swettenham's entrance and RAN towards the post office. I ran because I did not put coins into the meter! ;P

11:00 AM - I got my package! It was still early so I drove towards home to have lunch before returning back to office.

One thing I learned from my encounter in Honda Service Centre is to dress with style to drive your Honda City.

By the way, if one is going home early for lunch, please, please, please call up your wife first and check if she is still at home. This is because you might need to tapao lunch for her too. I didn't do that and got caught with one pack of chap fan in hand entering my condo! Sob... sob... sob...

williamwilstroth... dress with style please...
